What mostly parameter is use to determine the hypothesis of a sample?

A sample does not have a hypothesis. It is the experimenter (the person doing the experiment) that has a hypothesis.

The two legs meet at a 90° angle and the hypotenuse is the longest side of the right triangle and is the side opposite the right angle.
