test standards required

Refer some IS or IEC standards and get all the information you require.

For Earthing test:

For all electrical installations: less than 5 Ohm ( in rocky areas allowable upto 7 Ohm)

For Lightning conductor:the combined value of the earthing system shall be less than 10 M.Ohm

For High voltage test:( should withstand the RMS ac voltage applied across frame & live parts for 1 minute)

For fractional HP motors of rate voltage <50V - 500V ; above 50V upto 250V - 1000V

For motors 1 HP to 3 HP - 1000V + 2*rated voltage

For motors above 3 HP - 1000V + 2*rated voltage

( subjected to maximum of 2000V)
