Accuracy Class

can any one help me to know the accuracy class in transformer, motor,circuit breaker etc. what is it means 1/5p20.please explain clearly as i eager to know this .

Presumably you refer to a current transformer. "5" deonotes the composite error, "P" the class [i.e. protection desiganation & "20" the accuracy limit factor. For more info refer to the Standard IEC 185 or later editions.

IEC 185 is withdrawn. refer IEC 60044 Part1 for current transformers

5p20 is denoting class of current transformer. which is using for power system protection such as over current protection,earthfault protection and distance protection.Initial letter 5 shows that accuracy class of the current transformar.This means 5% error allowed at the rate of multiple rated current(here 20 times-last letter),if the connected burden equals to rated burden. P is denoting protection.
