The inventor of the EZRig Crane, Art Mora,
along with his investment group,
have sold their company to Jim Owens, owner of Shoreline
Constructors, Inc. Owens sees
potential in some of the same markets he already serves in construction and steel erection
and with his background in running a manufacturing firm, he can manufacture the
mini crane more efficiently and already has units in stock, ready to ship,
whereas Mora operated the company on a make to order basis.
Owens
immediately saw how this small footprint crane could be a workhorse in the
construction and water district industries, where lifting heavy loads from
unique positions and hard to get to locations are a specialty for this mobile
crane that moves around on durable 8" locking caster wheels. Its lifting capabilities can pull or lower
2,400 pounds and it has a vertical reach height of 19 feet. Owens also realized
that the crane could go through standard 3-foot doors and into standard
elevators coupled with the capacity of a lowering cable of 130 feet that many
companies in the glass installation fields would find this rigging crane the
perfect companion.
