Hurricane Wilma, which may find landfall in Florida this weekend, is now a category 5 hurricane with gusts up to 175 mph. In fact, it is now the most powerful Atlantic storm on record.
As of 8 AM this morning, Wilma was centered about 340 miles southeast of Cozumel Mexico. Leading projections have Wilma plodding slowly north-northeast towards Florida. Hopefully it will weaken before it comes closer to any landmass.
