Charge Air Coolers

07/09/2015 6:54 AM

Hi,

I currently work for a company called vestas aircoil who design and manufacture charge air coolers for large diesel engines. For me understand and decide on a suitable for design it is important for me to appreciate the components that contribute towards the workings of the charge air cooler. e.g. the turbo, any advise or experience in this area would be appreciated. Having an understanding of the environment will help me determine any possible design changes that can be made to improve how the charge air cooler works.

Cheers.

astat101,

If you want to learn about the product your company makes, dive in and be the helper everyone wants and needs. Show you have the desire to learn and also listen to the elders there.

What are your job responsibilities there at the company?

Are you an engineer?

General labor?

Machinist?

Give us a little more information. Many of us have worked up through the ranks of many different companies and learned from the School of HARD KNOCKS!

Work hard at being a team player and be their go-to guy for anything they need done.

You really need to work within your own company on this. The stuff you are asking about is proprietary information, ánd therefore commercially sensitive. If shared on an open forum such as this, your company might lose that propriety, and you as an employee.

Ask internally for mentoring.

This is my stop and where I get off. Cheerio!

After looking at your previous posts, I believe that you are engaged in an unethical activity.

You are asking strangers to GIVE you information that is surely proprietary and maybe even patented, so that you and your company can get an unfair advantage!

All of your posts are direct references to your company and border on pure SPAM.

Do your own research!! Do your own homework.

After looking at the previous posts, it does look like they hired an intern to troll engineering forums and blogs to slap their name and web site on several posts.

I do think, that company is capable of paying for advertising but may not even know what this person is doing!

Google "turbo intercoolers" and start teaching yourself.

There's not a lot to a heat exchanger.
