BDV Oil Transformer

In oil transformator we know there is a bdv (break down voltage), is it true bdv is the important parameters on transformator? why? and what happend when the bdv tranformator under the standar? why it could happend? thankyou

What does your textbook say? Did you attend class when oil transformers was discussed? If not, why? Did you read the rules about posting questions on CR4? If not, why? If you did read the rules, then you already know we do not do school homework. That would deprive you of your education and nobody here would do that to you

BDV-Break Down Voltage....on which voltage level transformer oil flash or spark called BDV of Oil. So BDV of oil play a main role in transformer .If BDV very low than u can not operate your transformer smoothly due to flash in oil. It will trip your transformer by buchholz relay.Moisture is main reason to drop Oil BDV. U can Use Transformer oil on below standard BDV but on a minimum level.
