Lockheed chief executive Marillyn Hewson said: "I'm confident this acquisition will help us extend our core business into the growing areas of helicopter production and sustainment."

As opposed to having no capability previously.

I wonder if we will see a Hybrid jet-assisted helicopter from the same makers as the F-35 in the near future.

"Sustainment"? Did somebody get promoted beyond the level of competence?

Let's hope the don't come up with an "improved" design for a multi-role helicopter.

Lockheed may be following in the foot steps of the Russians, who almost certainly, as the world's preeminent builders of gee whiz helicopters, are putting together THE helicopter muscle machine, a 100-ton multi-rotor (e. g., 8) heavy lifter.
