Why not ask Mitsubishi (or your local distributor)?

Why do you want to replace it?

• Is it not working?
• Is there a programming error?
• Is it faulting out?
• These are available on eBay for about $250.00 U.S.D.

Oh, like it was mentioned in the first post..... What did Mitsubishi say? They are the authority on THEIR products! Call THEM!

It is possible to download the old program into the new controller.

However, the program may not execute correctly or not execute at all.

Normally the software version updates address any compatibility conflicts as the machines are improved.

The best way to determine what is required would be to contact the factory technical support group and follow their instructions.

If you are, or you have access to someone that is technically competent on the FX1 series controller programming, they should be able to edit the old program so that it conforms with protocol requirements and is compatible with the new machine programming.

You're just waiting time. A simple telephone call to your friendly local Mitsubishi office is all you need to do, and I'm not doing that for you.
