GlobalSpec Access

08/08/2015 2:07 AM

Hi,

I am unable to access the Global spec site. Whenever I click the link or enter the address, I receive the following message:

"You don't have permission to access "http://www.globalspec.com/" on this server.

Reference #18.bc779452.1439013615.260dc6"

What's the reason behind this?

Thanks and regards

You don't have permission.

It works when I try: http://www.globalspec.com/. I guess I have permission.

You should contact your local ISP.

This is a personal opinion and in no way is an official response from a moderator.

Are you operating within a larger network, such as from an office? If so, it may limit access. How did you manage to post this question?

Yeah, I've been trying to open the site from the office, I've just managed to access it from home. The access to this forum though, was unrestricted all the time.

Thanks for help.

Instead of www., IHS globalspec operates under the "uberdomain" cr4. I suspect that is what my former workplace disallowed; maybe yours, too. [?]

I agree with what others have said. It sounds like your network administrator is not allowing you to view the site.
