EMC Analyser

07/19/2007 4:13 AM

Dear Sir,
We need to buy an EMC analyser for passing EN55015 standard. One of these analysers is the SA1000 of Laplace Instruments. Has someone worked with this product? Can you explain the advantages or disadvantages of this analyser?
Thanks in advance.

I would question the assertion.

We need to buy an EMC analyser for passing EN55015 standard.

Are you looking at conducted, radiated or both?

What is it you are testing?

Booking time at a test house (with their expertise) or hiring equipment maybe more cost effective.

More info' please.

Hi Del the cat!

We have problems with conduced EMC. By the moment, We don´t have problems in radiated EMC.

We´re testing emergency lighting products.

We have estimated that is more expensive go to a test house in repeated occasions than buy an analyzer. The resolution of EMC problems take a lot of time.... and money.

One of the alternatives in EMC analyscer is Laplace´s SA1000. Have you work with this equipment?

Thanks.

Sorry for my english!!

Presumably you have already got a LISN (Line Impedance Stabilization Network) and have had a look with a scope ?

Hi Del!

Thath´s right. We have to buy a LISN too.

We know that our product isn´t agree with EN55015 standard because we test it in a lab (Labein-Tecnalia).

Now, the problem is how to solve it.

Thanks for yours advises Del.

Javier.

I would certainly agree for radiated EMC..

Conducted is a bit more manageable.
