How to Search CR4 Discussions

08/12/2015 2:28 PM

Although I have used CR4 over the years, I have never learned how to search for files by specific subject or keyword on the site. I assume that it is quite straightforward but I have never had any need to do it until now. Is there a Tutorial available for this within CR4 ? Thanks

Doesn't "Search Community" at the top not work?

I normally find (no pun intended) that using google with the site qualifier site:globalspec.com is better than using CR4s own search engine.

We do have a search tutorial. You can find it here: http://cr4.globalspec.com/blogentry/17303

Note that the "find posts from" filter at the bottom of the search results page is particularly important. By default, the search will only provide recent content, so if you would like to look for older stuff you must change this option.
