VRF Y-Joint Distance

why the distance between y-joint to elbow and from one y-joint to another y-joint in VRF system is kept more than 2.4m or more?

Helped me out! I was still stuck on Visual Flight Rules from talking about the drones, FAA, and pilots licenses. Guess if took the HVAC concentration instead of Mechatronics I would have learned this in college.
