What do you think on Nuclear Salt Technology? Is this viable?

A molten salt reactor (MSR) is a class of nuclear fission reactors in which the primary coolant, or even the fuel itself, is a molten salt mixture. MSRs run at higher temperatures than water-cooled reactors for higher thermodynamic efficiency, while staying at low vapor pressure.

So it isn't a matter of opinion. Hurrah!

AP#1, its posts like this that force me, AP#2, to be such a vicious, snarky jerk to you.

You know right away that your question has no merit, so you hide behind a mask, then I have to put on my own mask to call you out on your stupidity and cowardice.

Here's a deal, you quit being an idiot, and I'll quit being an asshole.

Telling the difference is becoming difficult.

You said it, PW.

Perhaps annon. posting needs to be done away with completely, that'll cut down on people fulfilling the stereotypes of GIFT(1).

I never thought I'd see it, nor say it, but this is the first AP post I've ever seen with merit. I wish I could give THIS a GA!

I've defended Lyn's curmudgeonly ways often, as "just the way he is, and it's his right", but I find myself more and more in agreement with Lyn.

And I LIKE this AP post!

Without looking at the post, I'm in favor of fast spectrum nuclear reactors, because they are so much better than thermal reactors. Molten Salt is one of the several designs, but I personally like the metallic fueled, sodium cooled design.
