any info about this potentiometer and where to get it?

You still may be able to replace this. But FIRST, we need to know some things.

  1. What product was this potentiometer removed from?
  2. Have you tried to MEASURE the resistance from any points on the remains?
  3. Do you have an ohmeter?
  4. Will you answer these questions?

Are you certain it is a potentiometer? It appears to be a position or motion sensor such as an encoder or generator.

The 98-1400-1 is a proprietary unit , from BEISENSOR, of Twin Disc, It is a precision rotary sensor.
You will need to contact the machine manufacture for replacement units.
