09/04/2015 3:49 PM

This just came in on my YouTube mailbox. There's no sound but the comments and links say it all...

I had sound, but I still found it useless.

Only got through a minute or two.

But, that's just me.

I always wondered about those 'work at home' offers ....make good money with your computer....haha ruin the internet for $$....we would be better off paying people to look for these types of things....same with giving phoney feedback for crappy products....should be punishable by law...

If I'm buying something, I'll look at the ratings. There's money involved. When I'm looking for something on Youtube, I know what I'm looking for. I don't even notice the ratings.

Sometimes comments help me to decide on a product but ratings not so much. However, the opposing comments on most postings reveal bias. So, I spend time comparing comments but not so much counting ratings.

I got involved with an identical product idea on CR4 years ago. When I researched online and posted the guys patent, told the guy it wouldn't work, explained why and told him how to prove it he got really upset and threatened to sue me for trying to steal his idea and that I needed to sign an NDA.

I wonder if it the same guy, he used to be called www.triplebatterylife.com but that (scam) no longer exists.

<Sigh> even www.PCworld.com fell for this, including the classic conspiracy "someone broke into my office and stole the samples while I was out"

http://www.pcworld.com/article/2928997/batteriser-is-a-250-gadget-that-extends-disposable-battery-life-by-800-percent.html

What, no one ever heard of "reverse engineering" before.

Voltage boosting low voltages from weak batteries is not that big of deal but typically when a battery goes dead it also looses most of its current supplying capacity so how exactly are they getting past that problem of keeping the output stable while both the voltage and current capacity of the battery rapidly drops of at the same time?

They don't. It's a scam built around real world concepts of end of cell voltage, voltage droop and voltage recovery phenomena and then taken to the extreme to milk people out of there money.

Interestingly enough it is very easy to disprove by performing a side-by-side comparison so I don't quite know how they expect to make money before the internet and law come crashing down on them in a big way.

This isn't like gas mileage devices where there are so many variables it makes repeatable comparisons of MPG gains or losses difficult for the consumer to accurately assess themselves. Or Audiophile gimmick devices or magnetic water purifiers or medical devices where perception of differences is difficult. They are going to figure out pretty quickly they have been doped when the devices don't last anywhere longer than the claims.

It seems the ones that last the longest are the craziest people that actually believe that they are right....they can hang on for years...then they become conspiracy types saying they would have made it but some big corporate interest sabotaged everything....then sometimes they go on to become UFO believers....it was aliens...the MUFon's are the last stop on the crazy train.....haha
