As there are no moving parts absorbtion chillers require little mantainance. Make sure to keep the pressure, vaccum and temperature gauges properly calibrated. Periodically inspect the stem ejectors as debri from the steam line may choke the throat section. You will see this as a drop in vaccum and therefore a drop in the chilled water temperature. But otherwise absorbtion chillers are very reliable and consistent.
