the data just keeps getting better this is part of the "dark area or "spots" that were observed as the probe approached the planet-dwarf

That's just awesome. It looks like a frozen sea. I would have figured being so close to the oort cloud that it would have more meteor impacts, I guess that far out even the 'cloud' isn't very dense.

It does look a bit like water erosion that was lapping at the shores or where the desert meets mountains.

Can we call it a planet again? Or would that mean a whole bunch of scientists and their theories were wrong? These pictures hardly give the sense of a random piece of space junk that happened to get caught in the sun's gravitational field.
