Place the flange on a turntable,gently apply the pickup arm,and listen carefully.

The conventional pickup arm is not recommended,so use a non-contact laser pickup,a pneumatic back-pressure sensor or a MEMS sensor.

Just whatever you have in your scrap bin.

If none of the above are available,use a paper clip,with the point cut to an angle of 22 1/2 degrees.

Send the output to a A/D converter.

Convert the digital value to decimal.

Do the same with a known flange.

Construct a right triangle using the values as one for side each.

Determine the value of the hypotenuse

The difference, is your difference.
