Microwave Assisted Resistant Heating Furnace

09/25/2015 4:07 AM

I want to built up microwave assisted resistant heating furnace (Hybrid-both microwave and electric resistant heating furnace). The furnace internal size will be 500mm width x 500mm depth x 600mm height. Anyone can guide me the design parameters, list of parts and suppliers of microwave system parts ? Amrut patel

How much microwave experience do you have? An un-contained beam can warm other things up as well as your furnace, meaning like yourself too. I've been told you get a nice warm feeling all over as your being cook from the inside- out.

Why I ask is because if you knew anything about microwaves you wouldn't be here asking about design parameters, list of parts and suppliers. Grandma always told me, "if you play with fire, you will get burnt!"

Go back to school and take a full course of studies on microwaves before you hurt or kill yourself.

Over the years I have known several people that were from places that had "microwave accidents". Permanent eye damage was a common part of each story. That is not the worst-case of what can happen, but it is what usually happens. They feel no pain and don't notice problems until a day or two later.

Like for instance, a "tweet" (avionics technician) that absent mindedly put his hand over the open wave guide on a radar unit.

an oven using microwaves agitates water molecules causing them to heat up. you'd be a fool to try and expose anything living to a constant source of this energy, ABANDON this nutty project!

The wages of microwave flippancy are blindness.

And what do you figure you will gain from the microwave heating addition?

I was wondering the same thing. Why? There is no efficiency gain.

Perhaps OP has some waste microwave radiation or some other free source.

Try researching on the web, particularly "YouTube" there is a lot of information already out there....I searched using:-

"How to make a microwave kiln"

"Try researching on the web, ..." That's precisely what he did, to get here! Of course this isn't "YouTube"...

I'm surprised you gave that advice without a caveat! Of course most of the previous posts have mentioned some of the dangers, but I'd say anyone wanting to build any form of microwave heating device should FIRST obtain and learn how to properly use a microwave leakage detector, and I mean something significantly better than an NE2 neon bulb!
