Google can do that, and you can use it just as well as I can..

Do note that women use this site as well. That's why I will call you "Mildred".

"Google can do that, and you can use it just as well as I can.."

Are you sure about that last part, Constable? There ARE some people out there and, yes, even on this site, who seem to fit the description of "You're like a trained ape, but without the training!"

Mildred?? Not a unisex name.

Why not Jamie, or Taylor, or Shannon, or Morgan, and so on? Unisex names are quite abundant these days in Hollywood and pop music.

Starrett makes precision straight edges for metrology applications (link here). They quote their accuracy as +/-0.0002" per foot. I've always been a fan of Starrett metrology tools. It doesn't sound like this is what you are looking for, however.

If you're just looking for a steel straight edge for machine set-up, Veritas Tools has a few options (link here) that are ground flat to within 0.0010" for the 12" and 24" versions, and 0.0015" for the 36".

Stewart-MacDonald has some similar to Veritas, but with a beveled edge (link here). These are available in 12", 18", 24" and 36" and are made to +/- 0.0015" accuracy per foot.

Go to any old school punk establishment, and I'm sure you'll find a couple as well... accuracy levels subjective.

I used one like that to install the focus track for an X-ray head. Amazing accuracy.
