Why do you think microwaves are more efficient than simply using an induction furnace already designed for the task of making cast iron/steel?

Well we want Suggestions on how to preheat sponge iron prior to charging it into the induction furnace. Any mechanised compact method which do this work with a discharging rate of 10 tonnes per hour of heated material having temp 800 deg. C .

Do you suppose that coupling hot gases from the area around the crucible of the induction furnace to the sponge iron could do part of that job? I have no idea, just conjecture on my part.

There isnt any hot gases which we can use to pre heat the sponge iron therefore need another method in which if we could pre heat and charge it into the furnace.
