An
opportunity has arisen for a Principal Systems Engineer to join BAE
Systems at our site in Frimley. The successful Principal Systems
Engineer will be supporting a team within Combat Systems, and will be
working closely with various external and internal stakeholders, as well
as suppliers.
As Principal Systems Engineer your main responsibilities will involve:
Designing the various sub-systems, conducting concept studies, and creating detailed design of systems
Performing systems engineering design tasks and investigations
Producing system and subsystem designs for each generation of the Combat Systems
Lead systems engineering activities for Combat System functions
Performing
requirements elicitation, capture and analysis; functional and
performance design; verification & validation capture and
maintenance; and test requirement development
Producing
requirement specification, system and subsystem design descriptions;
ITEAP and Qualification plans; and interface definitions for the Common
Combat System
Undertaking
all activities to support achievement of qualification, legislative,
safety & security requirements, and fitness for purpose
Contributing
to identification and rapid closure of issues emerging from all product
lifecycle stages and manage the resulting change embodiment activities
in a controlled environment
Providing realistic programme status, identify problem areas and implement agreed recovery plans
Undertaking peer reviews or checking / verification tasks as directed
