I see one on ebay for $595. It is a 150 Mhz scope

Since a tablet that size costs about $50-100, then it competes with similar oscilloscopes that sell for about $500.

I see many comparable screenless scope units for $200 or less for that frequency, thus the package is overprices, yet might be perfectly functional to many people. I would tend to buy one of these and attach to a tablet.

yes,a screenless scope is an option,but for the engineers,they tend to use the bench oscilloscopes,just like the tablet oscilloscopes,with a bigger screen,10.1",which you could watch the waveform clearly,then you do not have to complain about the knobs and buttons,you could use your finger to operate the tablet oscilloscope.

Anyway,different people have different needs.

digital scopes are replacing vacuum CRT based scopes for almost all uses.

yes,time changes,in the old times,we use Nokia,now it is almost gone,just old models are left.
