Can Anyone Suggest Best Engineering Websites For Free Study Materials ?

This is the best side I have found so far! Comes with personal feedback and mostly free advice.

Here is one of them: Downloading books (putting them under your pillow) will not be sufficient to become an engineer. My advice is to read them and if you want to excel better put some money towards the good books - it pays in the long run.

Otherwise you'll find a lot references in the search Randal suggested.

Being from India you probably already know this but YouTube has a huge number of university classes available online. It seems like universities in India are by far the largest contributor of college level material on YouTube.

YouTube won't have free books but there should be many ideas for mechanical projects. Between DIYers (Do It Yourself people) and fun loving crazy people there are plenty of low level projects in videos. Company promotional videos and videos of things that have failed could inspire mechanical engineering projects.

If you need your project for university credit then part of the process is figuring what you want to work on. The idea behind "the project" is that you have to go through the whole process of looking at the "real world", finding a problem and applying your (hopefully) learned skills to solve the problem or improve something. It is very intentional that university projects do not take the form of being assigned to use the methods from pages 24-57 to solve the problem on page 68.

Not knowing what to do is the correct starting point. You figuring out what you want to apply yourself to is the correct first step.

The Khan Academy is a favorite of mine.
