No idea what it is - looks like someone's fired a fragmenting projectile through the axis of a can of pressurized red paint - but I'd bet a gallon of ale that those aren't natural colours.

3-D model of a in-situ blood filter that removes bad stuff and catalyses it into good stuff...sort of a 2.0 version of this one....

Before reading anything, I made a WAG of some sort of blood vessel model, but with no idea of what the cylinder could be. I was really surprised when seeing Solar's reply, where two people would make the same guess. The real explanation is even neater. Great video!

Excellent post and link!!

Someone once said: "If the brain were simple enough for us to understand it,we would be too simple to understand it."

We may never totally understand it beyond a "black Box" scenario but we can at least manipulate the outputs of the boxes somewhat.

The neural implants to move muscles seem to be a stop gap method.

The real goal should be,and probably is, an implant at the brain stem to stimulate the original nerves to restore muscle movement.

I know I am oversimplifying the method, but if a wire breaks in an electrical circuit, you can shunt around it with another wire.

So if a signal is being lost beyond a certain point,a device could be placed above this

point,to receive the signal as an input, then output the same type signal downstream, beyond the breakage.

I recently saw a 3D rendering of the known universe, and it is

amazingly similar to a brain and synapses.

So perhaps the entire universe is just one large intelligent organism, and we are

merely parasites, and the cosmic expansion is a growth spurt.

Your analysis is amazingly close to one of mine about the universe looking like the circuitry in our brain.
