I'm wondering if there are any extra-terrestrial life forms out there that are curious about what causes that fluorescence to occur on the dark side of our planet.

Don't you dare shoot that green sh** at me!

That is not light pollution, that is so aliens traveling at night don't stub their toes (they have long tarsals?)

If you can see this light from orbit it is not reaching the eyeballs of those near the lights.

Light pollution is everybody's problem.

Correct! GA! Most light from earth that can be seen from space is wasted energy. Only a small fraction of that light is reflected from downward-facing lights.
