Universal Ports

i wanted to know the interfacing pin configuration diag for UART with pic18f4550

could u also help me with the interfacing diag of a device for which we will be using one single micro controller to interface serial,parallel,usb ports as well as ethernet.

this is my project.your support will be a great help to me.

please provide any help wiht respect to this project

Sounds like tooooo big a project to me!

Interface to just one...maybe usb...

There are chipsets out there which will take serial in at a sensible rate and then do all the handshake and packet stuff to talk to usb...I cant remember which off hand but I can look it up tomorrow or you can trawl the web.

Rest assured what ever you do it will be obsolete soon enough...I spend half my time explaing to customers that they just think they want to interface to a laptop...they don't actually need to.

hi this may sound a big project but actually i need a interfacing diag of 8951 using parallel port.where on net can in find it.plz reply fast.
