I Finally Believe in Global Warming

Insurance companies have whole departments that are paid to worry about "what-ifs". It does not necessarily make for good science. The fact that the earth appears to be in an overall warming pattern is statistically accurate for the years that accurate data has been kept. The future curve of that data and the cause is not so easily discerned.

Agreed, but given that we don't have a back-up system for our climate, mitigatatory action probably remains the most logical response.
