Otto, Founded by Ex-Googlers, is Bringing Self-Driving Technology to Trucks

If you think self driving cars are scary, think about one of these flying down the highway with a robot at the controls:

What do you think?

It's easier to automate a rail transportation system:

It's gonna be a big trouble in the super highways when there's a malfunction.

Some day we will let robot

  • work for us,
  • eat for us
  • talk for us
  • drive
  • pick up the kids
  • learn for us
  • may be have some sex with our wives, sometimes
  • think for us

After all, what will we do by then? It's actually erasing our race the rights to live, don't you think?

To be Fair, We already have issues when there is malfunction of the human software/hardware

Check out Highway Thru Hell

If you've ever watched this show you'll know we will always have a human in the cab. To put on the chains if nothing else.

I did a thread on Mercedes several months back, I think Volvo has autonomous trucks on Euro roads too, I think they still have an attendant ( just in case) but that will get phased out. our major highways will be safer with electrons at the controlshttps://www.youtube.com/watch?v=XZxZC0lgOlc
