Just When You Think You Seen or Heard it All

07/19/2016 5:23 PM

A friend of mine in Sacramento sent me this link when he was looking for free printers on Craigslist and wondering if this guy was for real?

I thought I'd share it with our members, everybody needs to laugh once in a while

Grass-fed, cage free, antibiotic free, gluten free, authentic USDA organic soil, delivered at no cost??? What a steal! Very reasonable rate for humanely tilling!

Actually he shouldn't deliver as it would no longer be local. Ground-to-table or nothin'!

I want to know how he 'carbon dated' the soil to "1956 Vintage"!

Being I'm pre-1956 vintage, does that mean I fart antique dust?

Or Bob Rivers song https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=5aYLxLNvyKU

(I was attending WPI in Woosta' from 81-85 when Bob Rivers was a jock at WAAF, "Crank It Up", but I don't remember him. )

Go figure.

I have a rich friend who gifts me various brands of expensive tequila for helping him manage his local property.

Among others he has given me three bottles of Gran Patron Piedra Extra Anejo Tequila in the last year.

The bottle and packaging is quite impressive. The tequila is

After I have enjoyed the contents, my wife sells the bottles for $80.00 on e-bay.

Nothing surprises me any more.

Unremarkable, to me.

It tastes harsh.

"Unremarkable, to me."

So it's not good, it's not bad, it just is.

Your previous post makes perfect sense to me.

My wife, not a tequila drinker, says it tastes like gasoline.

Over the years he has given me almost every kind of $200.00USD+ brand there is.

Gran Parton' Platinum suites my taste best.

This describes my experience with most tequilas. I'm a scotch drinker myself. Lagavulin, neat, please.

A former scotch drinker myself, my taste for hard liquor has diminished to the point that I may become exclusively a beer drinker.

The 'Best of Craigslist' section is a goldmine.

I never looked at 'best of Craigslist', I've seen it the bottom of the ad but never took the time to look at it. And your right, 'just when you thought you seen or hear it all' That is too funny! Thanks for the eye opener

What is Craigslist? A dating site?

It's kind of like the first global internet 'classified ads' page.

So it is used like a dating site, amongst other things. If someone wants something, or someone wants money for something, odds are there's an ad for it on Craigslist. It's like raw, unfiltered internet bartering, which makes most of it almost, but not quite exactly like raw, unfiltered sewerage.

Yeah, it is free local postings for stuff and services. You can find some decent deals on there, normal caveats apply.

Craigslist generates it's income by charging in a few select cities for certain types of postings (I think employment or housing...not sure). Anyway that paves the way for free or cheap lawnmowers, puppies or blumpkins everywhere else...local pickup only.
