Interpret Tables in BSI 61559-1

Hi,

I wish to design a HV transformer, 240V pri 0-250 and 0-250 secondaries.

I am so confused about the creepage distances shown in the tables, vs the diagrams.

So, if I look at M.2.1 it shows the type of transformer I want to make.

So could someone please explain how this translates to any of the large tables please.

If you are NOT building this transformer, don't waste your time.

Just tell your supplier what you need and they will do the engineering.

Or, pick one out of a supplier catalogue.

If your job is designing transformers, go back to school.

Okay we need more information.

How many VA/KVA/MVA does it need to be?

When you say 0- 250 and 0-250 secondaries do you mean two variable voltage secondaries?

What type of core? E & I, Double U, Toroid, other?

What is the application as in what is the input source from and what will it be powering?

Also have you bothered to ever look for factory made mas produced units that match your requirements being a designs like 240/480: 120:240 VAC are everywhere and way cheaper and more efficient than anything you will ever hand craft.
