Air Restore USA

My wife was watching station KVLA (56.5 / Galaxy 19). There was a device called, "Air Restore". The infomercial claims it uses a breakthrough technology called, " Organic Air Technology" , the pitch woman said it is manufactured in Minneapolis MN. She said it retails for 3 payments of $33.95

Does it really work or is this another scam ?

(Note) KVLA, is a Vietnamese language channel, and I can't speak Vietnamese so my wife had to interpret what the pitch woman was saying for me, she also interprets the French channels also.

Well, I took a chance and typed gonja into a search engine. This came up first :

gonja

sweet sweet marijuana.

they found gonja in the pocket of the dead hippie in the dumpster after the Grateful Dead concert...

Never used the word myself.

By the way, ozone is harmful to all clothing, drapery, and upholstery with elastic materials in them. It is also harmful to humans, especially if generator is left to run in a confined space.

I do have to agree there is little to no proof ozone generators actually work, and can be dangerous to your health....regardless, in some cases they do seem to work well with odors.....

Ummmm, the NAOI does have a dog in this fight. Not saying what they state is untrue, but . . . .

I do know that ozone treatments may be used to mitigate mold in houses. Again it is a shock treatment for a number of hours, not weeks or months.

Yes the commercial units put out some 30k to 50k mg/hr whereas the residential units pictured above put out just a few hundred, seems like a gimmick to me....

I was led to believe, many years ago, that the smell I associate with running toy electric (Lionel standard gauge) trains was due to ozone created by the sparking at the rails and motor brushes. Does anyone know if that is true?

I was also led to believe, at about the same time, that small amounts of ozone are invigorating, while large amounts are clearly dangerous. Again, does anyone know if that is true?

I do know that that smell always arouses pleasant memories!
