What The....

11/02/2016 12:06 PM

My work PC has 2 screens, ACAD Electrical 2014, Windows 7 Professional with Office.

I noticed today that if I have ACAD open on the second screen, and move the cursor over the Outlook icon on the toolbar on screen 1 as if I am opening it (it opens on screen 1), ACAD disappears and my screen saver pops up on screen 2. It is like a toggle switch - move off the icon - ACAD appears - move onto the icon and ACAD disappears and screen saver appears.

Not a problem, but a darn good what the heck is going on question. Any thoughts? (no - I don't know the answer)

Probably a setting or bug in Aeropeek.

Sounds like a reasonable assumption as that is what Aeropeek controls.

Think such oddities cropped up after XP. I use two similar setups at work (i.e. laptop with an external monitor in "extended desktop" mode). One is XP, the other Win7.

The ext monitor on the Win7 setup often flickers on and off as I navigate on the laptop - something I don't get on the XP machine.

I think it has something to do with the screen saver. The trigger mechanism is true on any icon on my tool bar, not just Outlook, as long as it has an open page that is minimized. It is when I move from the program icon onto the minimized icon and temporarily fill screen 1 that the ACAD on screen 2 disappears and screen saver appears.
