Which browser are you using? (I'm using Chrome) Does yours indicate a secure/unsecure connection such a 'locked/unlocked padlock' symbol when you login, something like this?
I snagged this from my GMail inbox page, so I know it's able to indicate a secure connection. For some reason it does not think CR4's login page is secure.
I have heard from others that Chrome itself is not secure. I use Firefox. At the top it does NOT say https, and haven't seen any padlock--but also haven't been looking.
Yeah, I don't think their login is secure. If you login in a public place that has wifi and the login isn't encrypted, anyone with a wifi sniffer app (such as Wireshark) can see your login in plaintext and login later as 'you' and post BS in your good name, just to be an arsehole.
Don't think I'll lose sleep over that one. Not using WiFi to log in at work, where someone might try that, as I come across to most as a Sheldon Cooper. (been introduced as that to customers)
Down town in the quick burger joints, doubt I'd find anyone who wouldn't get out of the site fast as soon as they saw it was an engineering blog. Over their heads for sure, and they would be looking for credit cards and such stuff, not just gab. Plus, as with Sheldon, I'm pretty well unknown to most outside of work. My list of friends away from work consist of family (Wife and Daughter) and my pets.

This site has not been secure for near on a year. I though most knew about this. Linked In is no better. It has several hacks so anyone using Linked In has been tapped. Just some updated info as I found out the hard way. And anyone in the UK will also note a few additional hacks since Jan 2017.
So if anyone has any info on deleting and finding the link, let me know as I constantly check my laptop for the hack.
There are many places to check site safety, and Cr4 comes up 'clean' on all I have checked.. I'm not declairing it is,secure. A few features are lacking. Mostly, security depends upon what safety the user has at their end. I'm not having a go, just pointing out that internet security starts with the user. It's not as if anybody here is entering credit card detaills.
Besides, I like my annual Christmas card from admin.

Lucky you, I have a new account (6 weeks old), and about to delete it as it has been visited 213 times in that time period. I log in once per week to catch up, 4, maybe 6 times so far. I do wonder who is logging in on mine.
213 Is supposed to be my log-ins and I have deleted all visitors. I guess it depends on the server being used and where it is located. So I guess my test does convince me it is not safe at all. I can live without the hassle.
The safest computer is the one that never connects to the internet....
