Advanced Solenoid Driver

08/20/2007 7:39 AM

Hi there!

Anyone aware of a proportional solenoid valve driver with adjustable dithering (amplitude, waveform, frequency), which can be set using some kind of standars communication interface such as RS232, CAN, USB, whatever? I have only found drivers where these values can be set with a potentiometer, but I would like to set up a user interface in National Instruments LabView where the operator can set up these parameters on the screen.

Thanks!

I don't know about RS232, CAN, USB or others, but Burkert sells proportional solenoid valves that operate with 0 to 20mA, 4 to 20mA or 0 to 10V signals.

We have a conveyor controlled by an invertor which allows you to set the speed with an external pot. In order to allow the user to set the speed from the control screen I put a d to a convertor module in the plc and connected the output across the terminals where the pot would have gone.

Maybe this could work for the stuff you have already found
