Ketosis

07/23/2017 5:04 PM

As i have posted in the past i am a weight lifter and a health nut.

I have been in ketosis for about 3 weeks. I had a high carb diet for about 2 years but decided to go for a low carb with less protein. I just wanted to see what the results would be.

I am no doctor, believe me (had to take Bio 101 2 X). But i did the normal amount of research that i always do on any unknown subject. It appears there is no known minimum carb requirements on a daily diet.

Results:

1. Energy is increased as i can do more reps with lower weights.

2. Ultimate strength is decreased , but i can do more reps with a total weight lifted greater.

3. Much greater endurance.

4. I lost 3" in my waist. I am now at 27"(have to buy boys jeans size 16). Chest still 37".

5. Weight went down 7 lbs.

My mind appears clearer, i can concentrate with greater clarity.

Daily protein 40 grams, fat is around 60 to 70% of caloric intake, carbs around 20 gram.

I realize i up can not keep this diet up for an extended period of time, but i will decrease carbs in the future.

Fat and Good Proteins are essential. If you need instant energy then Glucose and Insulin are essential. Fat energy is slow.

You may also end up killing your vital organs if diet is not planned and leads to deficiencies.
