It's kinda ironic that after all these years of analyzing light in the universe that nobody actually thought about the fact that light might actually have a complimentary 'mass' equivalence of some sort, especially after the 'dark matter' question arose.

All I can say is "duh."

Seat-of-the-pants feeling: The present theories of the universe are all too complex--too many exceptions, ifs, ands, and buts. When developed I suspect the correct theory will be "elegant." That is, somewhat simple (if you can call relativity simple!)

The first thought I have is that if they have identified matter related to light energy is that if that is true, why would not all forms of wave energy have the same properties (radio waves, gravitational waves (which of course are associated with what we have always called matter) and any other wave energy. This also makes a solid connection to the most popular of Einstein's equations. Maybe by stretching this out ALL the missing matter???
