programable audio recordings

09/01/2007 9:27 AM

I would like to be able to record a radio show when i am not near my radio and cassette recorder to push the button. Is there a way to hook up my radio output to my PC and a program to grab my show and save it onto an MP3 file?

Thanks

Probably. You could also use a VCR.

You can use a PC for doing just that.

The output of your radio should go into the mic input of your pc . You can use any recording software ( winamp as an example . You need the line input plug in) to record it and save as an mp3.

Here is the lowest tech (and probably quality) method.

Buy a programmable dc outlet timer for abut $10 USD from anywhere (Lowes, Wal Mart, Home Depot, your local mom and pop store that is trying to compete with the others), and plug a recording device into that.

Voila
