bearing heaters

anybody please explain about bearing heaters, how it is works, how many types, if bearing will be heat any changes in its micro stucture. tq.

The Bearing heaters work on the principle of induction heating.(for explanation of Ind heating -search google).The bearing should not be heated above 120 degree centigrade beyond which it deteriorates

You can also (or used to be able to) get bearing ovens. The problem with those is if the workers crank up the temp to heat bearings quicker and then leave some in the oven when they go to lunch. We had a chart that showed the different colors based on how hot the bearing material reached. The induction heaters (if set up properly) were great becuse they wouldn't allow the operator to overheat the bearing. It only took a few seconds to reach temp so they never needed to mess with the settings.
