Santoprene heat bonding

09/07/2007 8:17 AM

Good morning,

I work for a bridge expansion company. i have been searching for a while now for some sort of Santoprene sheet or rubber sheet that will be able to bond together

two rubber expansion joints . the parts are made of Santoprene and they are cut at a 45 degree

and vulcanized together. but it is taking to long to process. that is why i am searching for a way to bond the parts without retouching later on. I believe there

is a thin sheet of rubber that by using a heat gun i could bond these two parts together in less time then vulcanizing.

My question is can you point me to the wright direction in were i could find

this material or some sort of bonding agent for purchase. i would appreciate any help.

Thank you.
