ETAP Synchronous Generator Inertial Response

Good evening

I want to study the inertial response of a synchronous generator in ETAP.

I perform a transient stability analysis with one generator loss and with the others with governors modelled as "none".

The frequency and speed drops but the active power, raised after the generator loss, stays high for a long time, much more than inertial constant H.

What am I doing wrong?

You are trying to model the dynamics of a power system without considering the impact of the turbine-generators' governors. ETAP has many papers on how to perform this analysis correctly, simply use your favorite search engine on the title of your post.
