Can I format my pen drive often?

You are not suppose to format a pen drive to make it reusable.

You can do a Error check, ie., right click>properties>toolsTAB>under Error-Ckecking, click "Check Now" button

Many a times it works out well!

yes you can format it,and do it periodically for better functioning,also u can check for disk errors both these steps can increase their efficiency.....

Everything I've read about pen drives is that you format them only once.

You do not need to reformat nor do you need to defrag them.
