designing LN2 flowing system?

09/12/2007 7:07 AM

I am designing a LN2 system that will flow NL2 thru copper and stainessless steel tubing and I am wondering if anone knows the best way to join the two tubings together. Meaning what is the best way silver soldering or silver brazing? I have heard that silver brazing is the way to go but have not been able to find in info to back this up with. can some one point me in that direction or give me some input on the subject?

Is this a high or low pressure system?

You can use normal threaded fittings and solder everything together if you use copper pipe. Just make sure to insulate the pipes to minimize your losses.

If you can, you should weld all of your junctions. Depending on how long your pipes are, you will have to add flexible sections that will allow the pipes to expand and contract.

Brazing is the same thing as soldering except at a higher temperature
