Major Pet Peeves!

Problem solvers usually find a workaround for any 'peeves' encountered...I never lend money, if somebody needs it, and I feel so inclined to help, I just give them the money...If they pay it back, then so be it...but I don't lose any sleep over it in either case...

Then there are societal problems, which confound me continually....I could list these problems and debate them all day, every day...One particular peeve is why would you make some drugs illegal rather than just regulating them...this seems a recipe for disaster to me, and indeed it has proven so, but still it continues....Why can they attack cigarette smoking with a media ad campaign, and stop at that, but make smoking marijuana, which is must less harmful, illegal....We are governed by fools....or governed by people too heavily influenced by fools....or possibly both...

We have global warming raging, but the only practical cure, nuclear energy, is so feared by ignorant policy makers, that it has been nearly regulated out of existence...

One would think with the internet now widely available, and information that reveals the truth at every person's fingertips, that this would change almost immediately...but I guess that would require some reading, and it seems they're too busy talking...
