BMW 1 Series Fuses

05/28/2018 8:38 AM

I have a 2014 BMW 11d (UK) and the windscreen washer pump has stopped working. Everything else works. The user manual says there is a separate card which shows the fuse allocation but I cannot find this card. Does anyone know which fuse the pump uses? I'd like to check the fuse before replacing the pump itself.

Thanks Solar Eagle, looks like 48 is my culprit...or the pump itself.

The plot thickens. I found the card in the boot, it had just slipped down. Turns out alarm eagle that diagram is not correct but I checked all the fuses and they're fine. Problem is the back windscreen washer works but the front one doesn't. You can hear the pump running when the back one is on but no sound when trying the front. I assume both front and back work off the same pump but I can't get access as it's buried somewhere in the wheel arch.

Assuming the pump and fuse are good is there a relay which might be knackered?

pumps are normally attached to the reservoir which may itself be buried in the wheel arch either in front of or behind the wheel......where is the filler

It could also be a broken wire or dirty contacts on the plug ....

I'm not familiar with beemers, but does your car have a plastic inner wheel arch over the wheel? If so removing that may give you access to the wash bottle and pump.

On my daughter's Peugeot the plastic inner comes off quite easily with about 8 screws after you have put the car on stands and taken the wheel off.

good luck.....

Sounds like the pump was knackered after putting his knickers in the boot after he was knockered by his girlfriend.
