Highly Animated Ads on CR4

07/09/2018 11:06 PM

Most of the time, advertisements on CR4 do not bother me. It is when they are looped videos or timed sequences of several photos in 0.5 to 1 second intervals.

Here is one that I specifically despise:

One second later:

Another second later:

I would definitely NOT pursue purchase because of the offensiveness of the ad. The continual flashing to the next frame is a very irritating distraction.

Is there any way to eliminate or even mitigate these ads?

I just click on the top where it says something about ad stopping in 15 second, or click here. Maybe you missed it?

Maybe admin. has answers.

Sponsors are everywhere.

Grammar check, not so much.

You can use the Opera browser to eliminate all adds on all sites. Just activate the add blocker in its settings and instead of the nasty adds you will have empty spaces.

I started to use Opera instead of Google Chrome (I suppose you imagine why) and I'm very satisfied now. It also has a built-in VPN, a battery saver (if you use it on a laptop) and other nice selectable features.

Ad revenue supports CR4 so I doubt the ads will go away. I'll pass along your comments.

That’s it, those ads pack our collective freight. I’m throwing you a coveted GA vote for that.

I belonged to another (construction oriented) discussion forum, they want (IIRC) $50 bucks a year from members.
