Substation Construction Works

07/15/2018 1:36 PM

Dear Sirs,

What are the various steps in the construction of a Gas Insulated Substation in an area?

(eg. soil testing, foundation design, resistivity testing, grounding system design etc.)

Best Regards,

The first step is to contact the various vendors of GIS equipment, they will guide you through the process.

Ah! That's an easy one to answer: they can be found on the design documents for the previous one.

Without the correct volume of Carbonarro you could not possible insulate the substation with gas. How will you get the feeders in and the outgoing feeders out if the sub in the middle is insulated?

Is this a trick question?

<...Gas Insulated...>

All gases are insulators.
