07/16/2018 8:40 AM

Interview Questions and Answers:

1. Tell me about yourself.

This question is asked to make you comfortable. You should explain about your professional career, strengths, weakness, and achievements.

2. Why should we hire you?

You should answer this question as per requirement of company. You can start with your professional and your academic project achievements. Use specific keywords to seek the attention of the management.

3) What are your strengths and weakness?

You can choose to say those weaknesses which are not directly affecting the company’s growth like waking up late and also mention your steps to change it. This is also asked in graduate engineering interview questions.

4) Explain your long-term and short-term goals?

The answer to this will explain your commitment towards your job and how focused you are towards your work. You need to answer it by thinking about your future in the next six months or a year. It would be attractive to include the company in your plans. Do not mention about salary.

5)Are you willing to change your location?

It is always good to answer positively for the company and express your enthusiasm. If you are interested then you can say No.

6) Where do you see yourself in 5-10 years?

Always answer this question with respect to your job profile, company, and career. You need to understand and introspect about the future of your career. This is a common interview question for freshers.

Those might have been the questions 30 years ago, but not today. Nowadays it goes something like this:

  • Whoever invites someone in for a job interview has a serious problem.
  • The only way that the problem will be solved is to hire someone.
  • Something about the application suggests that the applicant may well be the individual that can help solve that particular problem. That is why the applicant is there.
  • It is the employer that is desperate, and not the applicant.
  • It is the applicant's responsibility to find out during the interview what the problem is, and to sell the employer the solution to the problem.
