+ is there lower continuous current (down to 1A 300mA) analogs (from any manufacturer)

Your question does not make sense to me. The turn off time involves the amount of time it takes to move charge on the gate of the MOSFET. Thus your drive circuitry in layout and parasitic inductances affects this result. This is one of the reasons why once a foundry develops a MOSFET the testing of this attribute is not performed.

yes, that's why i'm asking about experience -- e.g. i intend to drive it from simple 74HC04 or 74HC14

the question is . . . is using that for driving sufficient (the data-sheet somewhat suggest it should ... while also the given power range makes it questionable . . .)

The chips can drive this MOSFET in some applications but I can also conceive of some circuits where the chips and/or the MOSFET are inadequate. You don't give us much to go on. I won't play 20 questions with you.

did some tests

the simulation gives tolerable timings but some **90% of simulations won't match reality + the timings tend to be (usually/**quite frequently) 900% more optimistic and (occasionally) up to ×10³ better ...

1) Quick correspondence check ::

2) turn on ::

3) turn off ::

4) apx. mode of operation :: (9ns to stop conducting , less than 70ns I/O delay . . . if so)

it's just the principal of the replacement for the prev. actual buck to test up the Advanced Battery Charging Techniques: Pulse-Charging in Large-Scale Applications - Design of Divide and Conquer Technique for High-Capacity Batteries

the commercial chargers don't want to charge or charge right the end of life NiMH-s . . .

this is how much you can trust the simulators in the worst case variant example

(the only thing that differs is the geometry of the wiring - !!! the logical wiring is equvalent !!!) -- https://photos.app.goo.gl/RHL9Puwhd9AwMKFC7

If you forget to include the parasitic components from board design layout in your simulation then at high speed the real world will differ from the simulation.
